Abstract:
    The disclosed device is composed of laser, beam splitter, 1/4 wave plate, polarizer, photodiode, data acquisition processing system, and digital process software. High speed measuring change of polarization state of light wave caused by lightning stroke realizes discriminating and locating lightning stroked transmission line. The method reduces outside interference and intrasystem interference, increases locating precision of system. Advantages are: quick response, high precision, high pertinency to system of high-tension transmission line, and low cost.
