Abstract:
The present invention relates to the composition and production process of Al-Mg-Cr alloy wire. The Al-Mg-Cr alloy wire consists of Mg 0.6-1.7 wt%, Cr 0.1-1.0 wt%, and Al for the rest. The Al-Mg-Cr alloy wire is used as the core and coated with Cu, and the Cu coated Al-Mg-Cr alloy wire is cold drawn to diameter of 0.08 mm directly without needing annealing treatment. The production process is simple and has greatly lowered cost. The Al-Mg-Cr alloy wire of the present invention has resistivity at 20 deg.c not greater than 0.033550 ohm .sq mm/m, tensile breaking force not smaller than 7.6 and elongation at break not smaller than 19%.
