Abstract:
    The present invention provides process of recovering steel wire from waste radial tyre and preparing high purity iron oxide. The process includes the following steps: selecting material, eliminating brass coating, dissolving in acid, filtering to eliminate carbon and other impurity, stoving the filter cake at 90-120 deg.c and calcining at 600-700 deg.c. The process can obtain high purity iron oxide product with ferric oxide content over 99.0 wt%. The filtered and washed waste liquid is reacted with lime to prepare ammonium bicarbonate to avoid secondary pollution.
