Abstract:
    The invention relates to a screening drum (2) for screening granular material comprising an input device at the front ends of the lying drum rotating around its longitudinal axis (3) , and an output of the material into a first annular space (8) between the drum (2) and inner annular screen sections consecutively arranged in the longitudinal direction of the drum and concentrically surrounding the drum, and a transfer of the material into radially outer annular screen sections . The mesh width of the annular screen sections is selected such that the section with smaller mesh width is the one axially nearest to the output and the section with the largest mesh width is the annular screen section axially located the furthest away from the output. Guiding parts are provided in the annular screen sections for transporting the material, which are formed as spirally shaped guiding helixes (15, 16) and the pitches (P) of which increase in sections in the transport direction.
