Abstract:
    The invention relates to a water-based-varnish drying apparatus of a printing press and a printing press comprising a heating unit for heating a sheet, a cooling unit for cooling a sheet, an exhaust unit for discharging air inside machines, a first measuring unit measures or estimates a first temperature of surface of the sheet before the sheet is conveyed to the heating unit, a control unit for controlling an output of IR irradiation unit in the heating unit, in such a manner that the first temperature output from the first measuring unit becomes equal to or higher than a first predetermined temperature that is necessary for drying a water-based varnish coated on a surface of an ink that is transferred onto one side of the sheet, and then improves printing quality.
