| To manufacture a biochip while avoiding the waste of a sample liquid to the utmost. The manufacturing method of the biochip using a liquid droplet discharge device includes a first process for filling a liquid compartment (18), a flow channel (16) and a cavity (12) with a holding liquid (50) almost equal to a sample liquid (52), which contains a substance originating from a living body in specific gravity and not mixed with a sample liquid to separate the same, a second process for injecting the sample liquid in the liquid compartment, a third process for discharging the holding liquid from the nozzle orifice (14) of a liquid droplet discharge head (10) to move the holding liquid to the cavity from the liquid compartment, a fourth process for detecting that the sample liquid arrives at the position approaching the nozzle orifice of the cavity by a sensor (22) to stop the discharge of the holding liquid in the third process and a fifth process for arranging the liquid droplet discharge head above a target and discharging the sample liquid from the nozzle orifice to drip it on the target. | |||
