Abstract:
    The invention relates to an impulse centrifuge (1) for the purification of lubricating oil, comprising a housing (10) with a removable lid (14), a rotor (2) arranged to rotate in the housing (10) and channels for the introduction and extraction of the lubricating oil, whereby the rotor (2) is a two-piece embodiment with a drive piece (3) and a contaminant trap piece (4), each of which has a lubricating oil flow running therethrough and embodied with torque transmission means (6) which may be engaged or disengaged. The contaminant trap piece (4) can be separated from the drive piece (3) and means for preventing or limiting the axial freedom of the contaminant trap piece (4) relative to the drive piece (3) are provided, which are non-effective or removed on removing the lid (14). Said impulse centrifuge (1) is characterised in that the drive piece (3) runs upwards into or through the contaminant trap piece (4) such that the drive piece (3) comprises all the components for the mounting of the rotor (2) and the drive piece (3) is securely mounted to prevent axial withdrawing with an open lid (14).
