Abstract:
    A rice washer wherein a predetermined amount of rice grains (8) is charged into a cylindrical vessel (11) and a vessel cover (12) is attached thereto to seal the rice grains (8) in the cylindrical vessel (11), whereupon rotating vanes (4) in the vessel (11) are driven by a driving means (5). The rotating vanes (4) lift the rice grains (8) to the upper portion of the cylindrical vessel (11) or to the vessel cover (12) while pressing the rice grains (8) against the lateral wall of the cylindrical vessel (11), and the cylindrical vessel (11) or the vessel cover (12) moves the lifted rice grains (8) to substantially the middle of the vessel (11).
