Abstract:
    The knitted sock, comprising a main body with a toe and heel , has aeration zones below and above the toes, on top of the foot, and beneath the sole. The first three zones are transverse, narrow lens- or lozenge-shaped, and made from stitches of reduced density. The zone beneath the sole is made from a series of lengthwise strips , also with reduced density, alternating with normal strips to form a rectangular shape. The aeration zone on top of the foot can also have stitches of reduced density alternating with stitches of normal density.
