Abstract:
     The present invention relates to a solid adhesive for polypropylene fibre filter rod forming process in cigarette production instead of solvent type adhesive. Said solid adhesive is made up by using ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, microcrystal wax, hydrocarbon resin, terpene resin and antioxidant as raw materials through the processes of liquation and polymerization. Said solid adhesive can be made into granular form or flake form, and when it is used, it is heated, melted and applied on the polypropylene fibre bundle by using spraying or roller coating process, and then solidified at normal temp. so as to implement the filter rod forming process. As compared with traditional solvent type adhesive, it grealy reduces the hidden peril of fire in its preparation and application process, improves environmental condition,and raises the economic benefit of cigarette factory.
