Abstract:
    The invention relates to a method for the application of glue to a wrapping material (60) of a rod-shaped article from the tobacco processing industry. The glue is applied to the wrapping material with the aid of at least one application element (40-48). The invention also relates to a device for the application of glue to a wrapping material (60) of a rod-shaped article from the tobacco processing industry, comprising an application element (40-48), an element which interrupts the supply of glue (31-38, 51-58) and a supply line (21-23, 27) which is arranged between the element interrupting the supply of glue (31-38, 51-58) and the application element (40-48). The inventive method is characterized in that a predefinable spread coding (62) is applied. The inventive device is characterized in that a control element (50, 70) is provided in order to produce a supply of glue, corresponding to a predefinable spread coding (62), to the application element (41 - 48).
