Abstract:
     The essential of present invention is to add uniformly the stem and leaves of gynostemma pentaphylla into cut tobacco in routine cigarette production technology, the amount of addition is 1%-10% weight of cut tobacco. Present invention uses gynostemma pentaphylla as additive, and treats the stem and leaves of gynostemma pentaphylla through de-greening and fermentation, making saponins of gynostemma pentaphylla volate sufficiently during smoking, thus reducing the total granular substance content and abating the toxic effect of tar in cigarette smoke.
