Abstract:
     The root and stem of fresh valeriana officinalis are distilled to extract its volatile oil which is then frozen and heated physically. After diluted by ketone or alcohol group organic solvent, it is added to tobacco in a proportion of 0.1-0.3%. Such additive features no poison itself, no influence on original taste of tobacco, absence of abnormal odour, and having obvious medical effect of suppressing cough, dispelling phlegm, and antihypertension.
