| The invention relates to a method for optimizing soft switching rate in code division multiple access mobile communication system and relative device. Wherein, it comprises: when the region load is over one threshold value, using load balance control method to limit the soft switch, to use the loads of all regions in the reference activate set and candidate set, and the signal strength of activate set pilot and candidate set pilot reported by mobile station as reference elements; when selecting the pilot of activate set, selecting the pilot with low load as best. When the wireless condition of mobile station is worse, the system will switch to avoid the increase of communication drop rate caused by limited normal soft switch. The invention can be used in the area whose base station density is high and communications are non uniform. | |||
