Abstract:
     The present invention discloses a method for downloading Email annex at handset terminal. It includes the following steps: (1). when the mail is received by handset, the background service program can check that it has annex or not, if has annex, according to the amount of annex the file with identical name and different postfix can be added, and the information of annex is writen into said file; (2). in the registration table the background service program for processing new file is writen; (3). when the annex is hit by user, the background service program can be activated and a parameter whose value is said annex name can be received, the background service program can provide prompt to download annex for user; (4) if the user will download annex, the background service program can open said file, extract required information, then connect with GPRS to receive annex, decode and generate file; (5) utilizing interface of MAPI to open mail, and replacing said annex into downloaded annex.
