Abstract:
     This invention relates to a method for protecting identities of mobile terminals including: after the terminal accesses a mobile communication network, a current access network distributes a temporary identity by a cipher channel and stores the corresponding relation between the temporary identity and a permanent identity and keeps it in an attribute network, the mobile terminal stores the temporary identity distributed to it by the network in a non-volatile storage and transmits it on the radio link to identify itself, after the current access network receives the temporary identity sent by the terminal, it asks the access network distributing the identity to look up the permanent identity corresponding to the temporary identity, if it fails, it asks the attribute network to look for the permanent identity of the terminal.
