Abstract:
     By use of less water contained in melon seeds and based on the characteristics that the boiling point of water varies with pressure and its volume is increased from liquid to gas, melon seeds are heated in refractory pressure container, which is opened when the pressure in it rises to a certain value to suddenly lower the pressure in it. The shelling equipment includes a small refractory pressure container and a big pressure one. Its advantages are high productivity, and less broken kernels.
