Abstract:
    A synchronizing signal generator capable of generating a vertical synchronizing pulse having a stable phase relative to a horizontal synchronizing signal, and having a counter whose amount of count is small for counting the clocks synchronized with the horizontal synchronizing signal, so as to process the image signal of a computer display, or the like. The generator is provided with a counter (8R) for measuring the vertical synchronization interval (N) based on a horizontal synchronizing signal (Hsync), and an output switch (4) for selectively outputting a vertical synchronizing pulse (Vd) synchronized with an inputted vertical synchronizing signal (Vsync) when this signal (Vsync) has a vertical synchronization interval in a specified range, otherwise outputting a pulse (Sq) having a specified vertical synchronization interval.
