Abstract:
    A method for transmitting information of SDH / SONET multiplex section includes receiving low group rate (LGR) STM-N / STS-N frame and picking up multiplex protocol information ((MPI) as well as gathering LGR STM-N /STS-N frame to be high group rate (HGR) one then inserting MPI in section overhand byte of HGR STM-N / STS-N frame and sending it out at receiving end of multiplex section, receiving HGR STM-N /STS-N frame and picking up MPI as well as disassembling HGR STM-N / STS-N frame to be LGK STM-N /STS-N frame then inserting MPI in section overhead byte of LGR STM-N / STS-N frame and sending it out at sending end of multiplex section.
