Abstract:
    The invention discloses a mechanism for imposing a consistent delay on information sets received from a variable rate information stream, the mechanism mainly contains: a first buffer region and a second buffer region, the first buffer region is used for storing received information sets from an information stream during a first time period, the second buffer region is used for storing received information sets from an information stream during a second time period; a consistent delay time is generated in the information sets of the buffer regions by using the invention , to enable the received information sets to be regardless of the different information rate, thereby, a relay element can solve the problem of the received information sets from variable rate information stream via a consistent delay time in a simple, accurate, and achievable manner.
