Abstract:
    The invention relates to a signal represented by an identifier (ID) for communication connection among network nodes determined by a communication network. In the network nodes, a communication connection signal is commutated from at least an input connection point (CP IN) to at least an output connection point (CP OUT). In the network nodes, a supplied identifier (ID) of the signal is determined on at least an input connection point (CP IN), the output connection point (CP OUT) is determined for the determined identifier (ID) by means of a table stored in the network nodes, and the signal is commutated to the determined output connection point (CP OUT), in the table, at least an assigned identifier (ID) and at least an output connection point (CP OUT) assigned to the identifier (ID) are stored for an input connection point (CP IN).
