    This invention relates to a method and a device for automatically discovering wave division transmission system links, in which, the method includes: a source node sends link connection test information to an aim node by the electric layer overhead traffic of the wavelength on said link, which receives said test information and verifies the link for conection, if the verification is successfully, then it feeds back the successful information to the source end node, which receives the information and finishes the automatic discovery process of said link.
