Abstract:
    A semiconductor device which can reduce electricity consumption of a circuit potion drived by a clock signal CLK which is outputted from outside and used for high-speed operation when performing low-speed operation drived by a first clock signal CLK1 generated inside. Wherein, the signal level of an inputted clock signal CLK is reversed and oupputted to a departing frequency circuit 2 when a selected signal SEL of an NAND circuit 6 is in high level. The departing frequency circuit 2 departs the frequency of the inputted signal by a predetermined departing frequency ratio to generate a second clock signal CLK2 and output it to an input side IN1 of a selection circuit 4. In addition, when the selected signal SEL of the NAND circuit 6 is in low level, the output side is stayed at high level, and the departing frequency circuit 2 stops the output of the second clock signal CLK2.
