    The invention discloses an overvoltage protection technique of electric generating set in power station, on the condition of connecting transformer and outdoor distribution equipment by cable, installing resistor on neutral wire of the generator; on the condition of connecting the transformer and outdoor distribution equipment by air wire jumper, separately installing arresters on the high voltage and low voltage sides of the transformer, and installing additional capacitor on the output line from the generator to the transformer. And it has strong relativity, simple structure, good protection effect, high cost, high reliability, etc.
