| This refrigerating cycle device comprises an induced voltage estimating portion (24) for estimating induced voltage generated in each phase of a stator winding of the rotating machine (2b) mounted in the expansion machine (2), a rotor position/speed detecting portion (25) for estimating magnetic pole position and speed of the rotor of the rotating machine on the basis of the induced voltage estimated by the induced voltage estimating portion, and a rotating machine control device (18) including a power convertor (19) capable of being operated as a normal convertor and a reverse convertor, and the expansion machine is started by power running of the rotating machine by the rotating machine control device, before starting a compressor (1). Thus sudden increase of rotational frequency of the expansion machine immediately after expansion energy generated by driving the compressor gets more than static frictional force of the expansion machine, can be prevented in starting the expansion machine. | |||
