Abstract:
     The preservation of corn cob proceeds as follows: Fresh corn cob is dehusked, cleaned and inserted on a gum spraying plate with large end downware; food grade gum and water are mixed in the weight ratio of 1 to 10 to form paste, which is then sprayed on the surface of corn cob; the gum sprayed corn cob together with the plate is quickly frozen under -28 deg.C, packed and sealed in food bag and preserved in cold storage under -18 deg.C. This method is simple, long in storage period and good in effect.
