| The utility model provides a spark igniting type engine and spark plug used therewith. They can reduce or eliminate pre-ignition and other explosion problems. A spark igniting type engine includes a cylinder having a top surface and a cylinder boring inside the cylinder, a piston which can translating locate in the cylinder boring, a cylinder head having a base surface fixed on to the cylinder, a combustion chamber formed by the base surfaces of the cylinder boring, the piston and the cylinder head, a spark plug having an electrode, a spark plug shell, a finishing end forming a base and holes, and an insulator. A portion of the spark plug locates inside the cylinder head. The spark plug has a leaktight structure which forms an igniting chamber having a cocoon shape structure and the igniting chamber of the spark plug basically locates in the combustion chamber outside the cylinder head. Experiments indicate that the structure can reduce or eliminate the pre-ignition and other explosion problems, cause the apportion time earlier and even optimize the engine performance further. | |||
