Abstract:
    A sparking plug mounted with adjustable side electrode includes a central electrode. A porcelain insulating sleeve is sheathed on the exterior part of the central electrode. An iron case is sleeved on the exterior part of the porcelain insulating sleeve. The said central electrode extracts from the top of the iron case. The particularity is that the upper end surface of the iron case is welded with an adjustable lateral electrode which is composed of a l-shaped bimetallic strip. The advantage is that the electrode interval changes as the temperature changes; the spark plug electrode interval is relatively small when the temperature is low, avoiding superhigh pressure occurrence, making the engine start favourably. The spark plug electrode interval is relatively large when the normal working temperature is achieved, providing higher ignition energy for the engine; it can effectively increase the rate of flame spread inside the blast chamber, shorten burning time and increase break-out force. Consequently, it makes the fuel combust sufficiently in shorter time, reaching the purposes of reducing oil consumption, reducing discharge, boosting engine power and extending the service life of the ignition system components and parts.
