Abstract:
    The nvention provides female and a male connectors which can be inserted to connecting from the left/right direction or above/below, the joints between metallic shells realize the increase of machine intension of the joints and grounding connection. The female connector has a first connector body to which a first set of contact pins are attached and a metallic shell that covers the body and consistes of a tubular body covering the first connector body. In front of the tubular body, a first, a scond and a third, a fourth of opposing overhangs are formed projecting a certain distance from the forward surface of the first connector body, whereby one pair of overhangs is bent mid-way in a direction such that their forward edges approach each other but a certain gap is provided between them forming first and second guide latching portions. One of the other pair of opposing overhangs, the third and the fourth overhangs has an insertion opening formed in it, into which the male connector is inserted and passes through the aforementioned gap in order to affect connection while being guided by the first and second guide latching portions.
