| The invention provides a technology for raising lighting efficiency and service life of incandescent lamp. The lamp may be of vacuum tungsten filament type, gas-filled tungsten filament type or halogen tungsiten filament type, with single or multi filaments. Under the condition that the lamp is supplied with a power of not less than 50 Hz/s in an inter-mittent manner, the lighting efficiency can be remarkably raised without affecting the service life when the filament resistance and geometric size are properly chosen and the intermittent interval and time ratio of power supply are suitable determined, or the service life can be increased by several times without affecting the lighting efficiency, or both service life and lighting efficinecy are raised. | |||
