Abstract:
     The invention consists of a cone squirrel-cage grid, a cone lead-out electrode, a cylindrical reflector, a loop filament and a short collector. It uses a vacuum conduit as outer screen so that its sensitivity is raised and the photo-current background is reduced. Besides by using self-modulation method the lower measurement limit extend to 10 to the power -4 torr (equivalent nitrogen pressure). It provided a good codition for measuring extreme high vacuum and developing the most advanced branches of science.
