Abstract:
     In the deflection coil of self-convergence system used for straight-line colour picture tube, as to the magnetic field intensity which is generated from the change of coil impedance of saturated choke coil connected in series with the two level deflection coils respectively, the increment of the intensity may be expressed by the relational expression of induction change rate expressed with a term of differentiating factor as follows: theta e/theta m is not more than 0.5 in which theta m is the differentiating factor at the middle part of the image; theta e is the differentiating factor at the top and bottom part of the image. In an embodiment, an auxiliary coil connected with the vertical deflection coil is used on the saturated choke coil to increase the magnetic field intensity applied to the said saturated choke coil. In another embodiment, a single or several metal element(s) is (are) located nearby the saturated choke coil to reduce reluctance.
