Abstract:
    The objective of the invention is realizing miniaturization and high accuracy by simplifying the switch structure of a gear position detector. A movable switch 39 is directly attached to the end surface of a shift drum 1 supported on crank cases 20 and 21. A switch block 43 is spigot fitted in the crank case 20, and a plurality of fixed contacts are provided on a surface facing the movable switch 39 according to a gear position. Since no bulky space middle members are provided between the shift drum 1 and the movable contact 39, the axial dimension of the shift drum 1 is reduced. Also, since the rotational position of the shift drum 1 is directly reflected on the position of the movable contact 39, the gear position is accurately detected.
