Abstract:
    The present invention provides a switch device capable of being applied to equipment requiring a processing before stopping the equipment such as a fan heater and capable of interrupting a primary side circuit of a power source circuit for the equipment. The switching device comprising a locking member which, by sliding the operating member, is guided by the cam bottom surface to come in contact with the locking wall and retain the operating member in its lock state. The operating member has an extra stroke to slide from the position of said locked state farther in one direction and is retained in its locked state while it is moving back and forth in the extra stroke. Then, the operating member in the extra stroke is slid to turn the second switch on, and when a control circuit of the appliance detects the ON signal a predetermined processing before a shut-off of the power circuit of the equipment can be properly done.
