Abstract:
     The capacitive switch is made by an insulating layer, on one surface or its near place of which is provided with first electrode and on opposite surface with second electrode and a conductive pad (as a touch pad). The conductive pad and the second electrode are over lapped with the first electrode, while the conductive pad and the second electrode may be arranged side by side with a narrow slit between them, or may be overlapped with another insulating layer between them. This kind of switches can be used to form a matrix, and by overlapping it to the display medium and combined with an indicator, as having a display electrode on one surface and an electroluminescence layer of first electrode on another surface. In this kind of structure, all elements are of transparent materials, except that of the display medium and display electrode.
