Abstract:
    Disclosed is a solid electrolytic capacitor comprising a plurality of superposed etched foils of a valve metal having an oxide film surface layer, which are connected with a positive electrode terminal, a semiconductor layer formed on the oxide film layer, an electroconductive layer formed on the semiconductor layer, and a negative electrode terminal common to the respective foils, which is formed on the electroconductive layer. Also disclosed is a polar type solid electrolytic capacitor in which first foils connected with a negative electrode terminal and second foils of a valve metal each having an oxide film surface layer connected with a positive electrode terminal are alternately superposed one upon the other, and a semiconductor layer is formed among the first foils and the second foils. A bipolar type solid electrolytic capacitor is also disclosed.
