Abstract:
     This invention is a differential transformer acting as displacement transducer for measuring small displacement. It is characterized by that the length of the core of the differential transformer is longer than total length of the winding so that the linearity is notably improved. The long core differential transformer can directly be used as non-contact displacement transducer. It can be used for measuring small displacement without contact. It has a characteristic of linearity output of displacement measuring and a capbility of differentially compensating for temperature so that doesn't need additional linearization and temperature compensating .
