Abstract:
A heavy current transformer is composed of a circular core, a compensating winding wound round said core, a magnetic shield which is composed of four circular cores mounted to internal periphery, external periphery and both sides of the compensating winding respectively, a secondary winding wound round the shield and a bus-bar passed through said cores and windings acting as primary winding. In order to form no short circuit, four cores of the shield are insulated each other. The number of turns of the compensating winding is eaqual to that of secondary winding. Both windings are connected in parallel so as to become a new secondary winding, In accordance with the invention, the error of heavy current transformer having current intensity over 2KA can accurately be measured by a power supply only from tens VA to one hundred and tens VA.
