Abstract:
     The invention is a permanent magnet which may provide a magnetic field of high uniformity over a large area in the air-gap. It is composed of a closed yoke iron and several main magnets, pole pieces, side magnets and caulking magnets, which are all distrbuted around the air-gap inside the yoke iron. The magnets used in imaging technique of medical nuclear magnetic resonance must be provided with a highly uniform air-gap which human body may be got into. The volume, weight and cost of this kind of magnet may be reduced greatly when this invention has been used. It can also be used for the magnets of various instruments of industrial analysis, Where a magnetic field of high uniformity is necessary.
