| This invention is based upon the theory of self-excited discharging phenomena in the gaseous discharging tube. Iron core choke and capacitor are also used with this device, while the fluorescent lamp is in series with reactance of both the inductance and the capacitance in the circuit. A resistor is connected in parallel with the capacitor, thus the ratio of capacitance to inductance lies within the range of 2 to 3. The ballast and the lamp system appear as a capacitive constant current load, and the value of the inductance is lowered by 1/2. As high level working state is guaranteed by the structural design, saving of electric energy by one half than the existing is expected. | |||
