Abstract:
    A process is disclosed for the manufacture of a generally toroidal or annular choke, in which a magnetic core is provided with an insulative layer, e.g., by an injection or other molding process, and divided into two parts. Each of the parts is then provided with a respective winding. The two chokes thus made can be electrically connected in series and mechanically joined to form a choke having the shape of the original core. Preferably, the original core is annular and each of the pieces is roughly semi-annular.
