Abstract:
    A coil for electrical apparatuses has at least one axially constructed winding (1). The end surfaces of the coil are braced with respect to one another in the axial direction by means of a prestressing device which contains loops (2). These loops (2) are intended to be pushed onto holders of the prestressing device and to be supported on these holders without shear. The loops (2) are wound with a plurality of layers from an elastic insulating strip which is impregnated with curable synthetic resin, and are cured in definitive form.
