Abstract:
     This invention aims at improving construction thereof and enhances ability of protection of arc quenching therefrom, and prolongs lifetime thereof. A voltage sensing resistor is used with zinc oxide voltage sensing valve plate connecting in series with the spark gap. Heat dissipating plates are installed on the valve plate and the gap. Thus, capacity of the lightening arrester is enlarged without leakage current, basically no main -frequency continuous current, greatly reducing the surging of discharging voltage and impact current residue. Said lightening arrester can be used on ac,dc transformer stations or rectifying stations as well as overloading protections for motors, or other equipments.
