| This invention disclosed a method for making positive temp. coefficient (PTC) material and its application. The said PTC material is made by heat blending of high pressure polyethylene, industial carbon black and other additives. Its specific resistance is increased with increasing temp. and has a rapid jump at 85 deg.C temp. zone. It has a switch characteristic of interrupting electric current, with switch temp. of 85 plus or minus 5 deg.C. It is an crosslinking thermoplastic high molecular compound material and can bear shaping reprocess at 210-250 deg.C. It is typically used as heat generator of electrothermal element to produce heating band with automatic temp. limit. This heating band during electrification has electrothermal, automatic power control, and automatic temp. limit properties with an automatic temp. limit of 85 plus or minus 5 deg.C. | |||
