Abstract:
    The invention provides an electronic component. A projection 11 protruded in the opposite direction to the protruded direction of an operation knob section 2 is provided on the case 1 of an electronic component incorporating a moving mechanism such as a switch and a variable resistor. The size from the tip section center of a terminal 4 protruded from the case 1 and extended in the vertical direction to one side face of the case 1 to the protruded end of the projection 11 is made nearly equal to the size from the tip center of the terminal 4 to the protruded end of the operation knob section 2. Chucking is easily and surely made, and the automatic insertion into a printed circuit board by an automatic inserting machine can be easily and surely made.
