Abstract:
     The electro-Chromic display consists of macromolecular weight conductive film appended to conductive transparent substrate and counter electrode immersed in liquid electrolyte. The macromolecular film is of a polymer having isothiaindene structure and can be oxidized and reduced reversibly. The polyisothiaindene represented by formula (Ia) and/or (Ib) can be prepared by electro-chemical polymerization or other polymerization processes.
