Abstract:
     The present invention concerns a method for microwave heating, drying and setting of the insulation sheath of electric wire and cable, more specifically, it is an improvement over the drying and setting method for heat-resistant shrinkproof polyolefine fibers, presented in the Chinese Patent Application No. 87107974: "polyolefine fiber heat-resistant shrink-proof agent and technique of application". The present invention makes use of microwaves that can pass through substance repeatedly, or materials that can absorb microwaves, and specially metallic materials that can reflect microwaves, such as aluminium tubes. It is a microwave heating and setting method for heat-resistant shrinkproof polyolefine fiber sheathing layer or film used as support for winding the insulation sheath of electric wire and cable.
