| The lithium niobate crystals, an optical material with good electro-optical properties and nonlinear optical performance, is used to make light modulator, Q switch, optical frequency multiplier and other devices for laser applications. Under the irradiation of low power laser beams, however, the lithium niobate crystals may give rise to locally light-induced refractivity changes and limitations are posed on the application of these crystals. This invention is characterized by making high-quality lithium-rich, highly magnesium blended niohate crystals through controlling the feeding recipe of raw materials. Niobate crystals of good performance are obtain under optimum recipe of raw materials. | |||
