Abstract:
     Growth of lithium niobate single crystal (MgO:LiNbO3) with homogeneous doping magnesium lelongs in sinlge crystal growth field. The feature is as follows: on the basis of three compositions (total Mol weight) equals 100%, choose Li2O/Nb2O5=(47.2minus or plus 0.3)/(52.8minus or plus 0.3) (mole ratio), constitution of MgO whose content is 4.0-7.0 (mol%) is of a homogeneity of MgO/LiNbO3. Said MgO:LiNbO3 single crystal is grown by CZ method, furnace temp. 1220-1270 deg.c, pulling speed 1-3mm/hr., rotating speed 10-25rpm. Polarized crystal has good optical uniformity. Crystal grown by use of this method has not defects of growth striations and inclusions, and has good homogeneous chemical composition.
