Abstract:
     The present invention relates to a corrodent which can quickly corrode lithium niobate crystal at the room temp. It is made by mixing 40% ( concentration) HF and 98% H2SO4. Its mixing ratio is dependent on tne required corroding speed. When preparing this mixture by volume ratio, the range of HF is 35-80%. The present invention is characterized by that it can quickly and easily corrode the whole LN crystal, differentiate plus and minus domains and determine the polarization situation of the crystal. Besides, it can clearly display the plus-minus domain graphs of fine-grinding crystal as well as polishing crystal by means of corrosion, therefore it can economize the time required for polishing large crystal and the cost of grinding material. Its corrosion liquor is convenient for preparation and can be used repeatedly.
